Puppies Anyone?

A week ago, these two female puppies, less than eight weeks old, parked themselves outside our gate. Abandoned, hungry, and cute as can be, we took them in. Took them to the vet a few days later. They were dehydrated and had parasites. After daily treatments of antibiotics and two wormings, they are getting spunky. Our granddaughter named the brown one, Nieve (Snow), and the grey one, Rosa. We’re enjoying them immensely. Rambo enjoys them too. He’s like their big brother keeping them out of trouble. What can you do when the Universe brings helpless creatures to your door? You can’t say, “There’s no room at the inn.”011

You did the right thing! I look forward to meeting Nieve and Rosa–and Rambo.

They are such pretty girls! Good you took them in! I read that Glenn Greenwald (the reporter who first published Edward Snowden’s leaks) lives on a hill outside Rio de Janeiro and has 12 rescued dogs. The monkeys in the canopy give them a hard time! The interviewer was so mean. He said Greenwald was like a cat lady. Greenwald said, no, he had a limit of 12 dogs and cat ladies have no limits. The interviewer said he counted 13 and Greenwald said the 13th was a guest. The interviewer said “I bet!”.

That’s too funny. The interview obviously doesn’t understand dog and cat people. Sometimes the guests just stay a bit too long and then become residents. LOL.

So sweet ) It is wonderful that all the doggies get along. I am happy and proud of you and dad for taking in those adorable puppies. Give them kisses for me.
